Ms. NGOC, CAN YOU INTRODUCE A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF?
Hello, I am Nguyen Thi Nhu Ngoc, currently living in Hanoi. I have 13 years of experience in teaching IELTS and English in general. At the same time, I am a teacher trainer and in exam-oriented classes such as IELTS, I will combine international teaching methods. For me, studying for an exam does not mean learning tricks and memorizing, but you can study scientifically and professionally.
At the same time, she also builds and establishes English programs for educational organizations and helps organizations build an effective teaching roadmap.
How does Ms. NGOC feel about 2G EDUCATION?
Fast! This is definitely the word that comes to mind first. Information flows very quickly so everything is handled quickly and efficiently. 2G is probably the fastest working organization I have ever worked with.
Enthusiasm is the second thing I feel in 2G people. This is clearly shown in the teaching staff. The time I train everyone is not short – 16 sessions, not a workshop of only 2 hours or 5 hours. And everyone’s energy during those 16 sessions is unchanged, always focused, listening, and asking questions continuously.
And many of you also spend time at home reviewing and studying old documents. Another thing I really like is that you have a desire to develop high expertise as well as upgrade your products, not just be satisfied with how you are currently teaching and continue to teach like that.
Those are the extremely impressive points for me about 2G people after a period of working together.
SO IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE FEELINGS, WHAT IS THE REASON YOU AGREE TO TRAINING FOR 2G EDUCATION STAFF WHEN YOUR WORK SCHEDULE IS VERY BUSY?
The first reason is that I am very impressed with Hai – Director of 2G. Hai’s working style is very decisive and is reflected in the way 2G works – Fast, strong, and urgent, so I think it is very difficult to refuse someone who continuously makes offers and persuades like that.
The second reason is that it is suitable for your work orientation. Because if it is not suitable, it will be really difficult for you to accept the offer. You feel that 2G is not only concerned with the IELTS output score? Although it is true that when studying for the exam, you have to care about whether the class is effective and the desired score or not? But the point that makes you feel useful to 2G and accept the offer is because 2G focuses on the training method and long-term development of teachers.
For her, teachers should not only learn teaching tips or how to pass exams, but the organization should care about how to develop teachers’ expertise, which is important and she thinks she can do this.
Furthermore, she found that 2G has quite impressive professional staff such as Mr. Peter Wright, a former IELTS examiner. She thought that if 2G could attract such staff and she herself would collaborate with 2G and have the opportunity to work with people like Mr. Peter Wright, it would be very useful to her.
DURING THE 16-SESSION TRAINING PROCESS FOR 2G EDUCATION STAFF, WHAT WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE MEMORIAL FOR Ms. NGOC?
Probably on the second day, when you said you really liked the class and the energy from the trainer, I told you: “I am because you are” – I am like that because the teachers gave me the same energy. For me, when I train a class and I see that they are eager to learn and want to improve, I automatically have to invest more in my expertise.
I can work effectively thanks to your great collaboration, stability and continuous energy. The 16 training sessions I attended were also 16 sessions in which the 2G teachers were all very invested, focused and enthusiastic.
IN THE NEW YEAR 2022, WHAT PLANS DO YOU HAVE AND IS 2G IN YOUR PLAN TO CONTINUE COOPERATION?
Her plan for 2022 is to collaborate with an International Training Organization to create a professional training series for teachers. The goal is to combine IELTS teaching according to international standards, not teaching IELTS in the direction of learning tricks and learning sample lessons. Learning needs to be effective but also fun and creative to increase the experience for learners.
I definitely want to continue working with 2G because 2G will have a lot of projects and if there is a project that suits my skill set, I really hope to work with 2G again.
WHAT MESSAGE DO YOU WANT TO SEND TO BOTH 2G EDUCATION STAFF AND STUDENTS?
I thank 2G very much for creating a professional development space for teachers. I have talked to many young teachers who are looking for an environment where they can not only teach and impart knowledge but also learn and develop. And 2G is really doing this well because 2G has made a huge financial investment to be able to provide training sessions for teachers.
Because international teaching courses are useful but too expensive. Therefore, young teachers who want to learn and develop are stuck, unable to access those courses.
The fact that 2G can invite an academic director like Mr. Peter Wright and organize training courses for teachers means that 2G is truly a very good working environment, not only caring about the effectiveness of the classes but also paying special attention to the experience of students and the expertise of teachers.
And the ones who benefit the most from this are certainly the students, because a happy teacher will create a happy student. Learning IELTS is not just a journey of studying but also a journey of developing thinking. If teachers feel satisfied with their working environment and learn new methods, the classroom will certainly be full of creativity and innovation.
